Strong wool provides lasting warmth without overheating, while naturally neutralizing odour and requiring minimal washing—reducing water use and environmental impact. A natural, renewable choice for comfort and sustainability.
Where each Davaar jersey ends up might be a mountaintop in New Zealand, or a street corner in Tokyo or Tāmaki Makaurau. The Journal follows the threads between these places. The stories behind Davaar and our wool — how it's grown, who crafts it, who wears it.
Davaar was born from a conversation between Kate Macdonald and her father, James, the fourth-generation to farm at Davaar Station, inspired by the natural beauty of New Zealand and driven by the potential of their farm’s wool. With a passion for traditional craftsmanship and a vision to add value to the Davaar strong wool, Kate created luxurious, sustainable woollen jerseys. Designed, grown, spun, and knitted entirely in New Zealand, Davaar celebrates heritage, quality, and ethical production—bringing you the warmth, versatility and durability of a truly authentic New Zealand garment.
