The 101 — Davaar Wild

Inspired by a breathtaking photograph, taken deep in Fiordland for WithWild, we were reminded of what Aotearoa once looked like. Vast, rugged and impossibly dense. Lush with juicy shoots of indigenous flora and roaming fauna.

Moved by this single image, and in continued support of the conservation work led by WithWild, we have designed Davaar Wild. Drawing directly from the natural palette of Fiordland, we have produced a limited edition, hand-spun yarn colour way — created to honour this extraordinary place and the indigenous species that depend on it.

The 101 features the diagonal shoulder seam known as a Raglan Sleeve, a comfortable rounded crew neckline and soft cuffs and hem. A reliable, comfortable fit.

The 101 in Wild is a limited edition colour way produced to honour a stunning and vital place, Fiordland, New Zealand. Extracting various hues of the environment from the photograph by Mike Hishon, taken for WithWild, while visiting this precious place, we selected four colours we felt told this story. We worked with Andy and his team from Woolyarns, who matched and manually blended the yarns by hand. This full-day process requires precision and skill. The result is a one-of-a-kind jersey that’s true to form, beautifully made and built to last. Each Davaar Wild jersey carries its own edition number. 10% of profit supports the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation’s predator control work, helping protect Fiordland’s vital ecosystem.

Size + Fit

A reliable, comfortable fit. If you’re in between sizes, we recommend sizing down — the wool will naturally relax after a few wears. For an oversized fit, select one size up from your usual size. Our model Luca wears a size L and is 190cm.

Our Wool

Knitted using 100% natural strong sheep wool grown exclusively on Davaar Station, New Zealand. Each fleece is individually fibre-scanned, allowing us to select only the highest-performing fibres for softness, strength, and durability.

The result is naturally non-itch knitwear that holds its shape, wears beautifully, and delivers exceptional resilience — designed to last a lifetime.

Craftsmanship

Small-batch craftsmanship, entirely made in New Zealand.

Care Instructions

Wool is naturally stain and odour resistant, so very little washing is required. We recommend gentle hand washing in cold water with an approved wool detergent once or twice a year to keep your garment fresh. After washing, dry flat and store folded in a dry wardrobe or drawer — never hung — to maintain its shape. Our fibre-scanned wool is selected for strength and durability, resulting in minimal pilling; should any occur, a sweater stone will gently restore the finish.

We ship worldwide, with all orders dispatched within one business day directly from Davaar Station, New Zealand. Delivery times vary by location and will be calculated at checkout.

Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive tracking details via email so you can follow your Davaar’s journey from our farm to your wardrobe.

For international orders, duties and taxes may be applied by your local customs authority upon arrival and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Returns + Exchanges

If your Davaar isn’t quite right, returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided garments are unworn and in original condition. Just email us and we’ll help you find the perfect fit. orders@davaar.nz
